How to use CBD Isolate

06/12/2021 by michael

CBD is usually found in two forms: Isolate and Full spectrum. We’ll firstly look at what these two types of CBD are and then how to use them.

What is Isolate?

When looking for CBD products you’ll quickly see terms such as “isolate” or “full spectrum”. As you might expect “isolate” refers to CBD that has been isolated or separated from the other cannabinoids we find in hemp.

This separation means that you should get CBD only without any THC, or any of the other 80 to 100 cannabinoids that are found in hemp.

You should however take a good look at the product’s ingredients and the accompanying laboratory report which should be available for all CBD products on the market.

In terms of labeling or marketing, you will often see these products under “isolate” or “pure CBD”.

What is Full spectrum?

Full spectrum refers to the opposite of isolate so CBD has not been separated from the other cannabinoids in Hemp.

An important aspect is that full-spectrum CBD will contain trace amounts of THC (up to 0.3%). Products containing full-spectrum CBD are usually marketed under the label “whole-plant” or “full spectrum”.

If you would like more information on the cannabinoids found in hemp then please see our article.

This article assumes that you have already made the decision to use isolate. Still, we have compiled some interesting information about both if you want to explore the question in more detail.

Why choose isolate?

The decision to use isolate should be based on it being the best type of CBD for the condition you want to improve. Isolate does not have any THC in it so make sure the issue you want to alleviate does not require THC. Isolate will normally have a high level of CBD but to be sure you should always read the label and laboratory reports. High levels of CBD seem helpful for the following sorts of issues:

  • Mild insomnia
  • Anxiety but also hyperactivity
  • Muscle pain and other non-severe pain
  • Headaches and migraines

Using Isolate

Once you’ve decided to take CBD isolate you need to decide in what form you will take it. There are several different types:

  • Edibles
  • Creams
  • Oils
  • Vapes

About michael

I’ve been fascinated by alternative health products for over five years now. My mother was a practicing homeopath and introduced me to plant-based solutions for a range of ailments, and I remember being genuinely impressed by remedies such as Arnica, Calendula, Nux Vomica and others.

I enjoy reading medical research on the use of CBD and trying to produce more easily accessible summaries. The production methods used in the industry are also fascinating, as well as the people who have created their brands and companies – there are honestly amazing and inspiring personal stories behind each of them. I hope our site helps you to understand what CBD could do for you and how select the best products for your needs.
