Is it legal to buy CBD products in the UK?
Is it legal to buy CBD products in the UK? that is the fundamental question many potential CBD consumers ask themselves
There are various ways in which you can buy CBD oil in the UK as a consumer. However, you should be very careful about your first purchase of CBD. Particularly avoid the temptation to go to places like Amazon where there are product brands offering either very low-quality CBD or hemp seed oil instead of proper CBD oil.
CBD is not yet a regulated product in the UK and therefore many high street and online vendors are selling CBD in a variety of different quality levels and often selling hemp seed oil.
If you buy low-quality CBD oil you may be disappointed with the lack of results and quickly start forgetting about the idea. CBD really works for most people. You just have to ensure you buy the right product for you to get started.
There are certain signs to watch out for to help you ensure you purchase high-quality CBD oil in the UK. Keep reading to get some ideas where to go to ensure you get good quality CBD and what brands are reliable.
Online CBD stores
Purchasing CBD oil online has various advantages.
For starters you have access to a much wider choice of good brands than if you purchase in the high street. For example brands such as Endoca or Medterra both boasts excellent quality CBD oil formats, and those cannot be found in the high street shops.

In terms of guidance most online stores have online chat tools to assist customers and help them with their first time purchase or with a purchase intended to alleviate any particular sort of pain or discomfort. Ask us if you are not sure and we will certainly help you. We have been consumers of CBD ourselves for over four years so we know a thing or two about CBD.
Buying CBD online is faster and you can still get a refund no questions asked if for some reason you decide to send back the product.
Another advantage is that you are more likely to get better value for your money. You will wait 2-3 days for delivery but you will often catch a promotion, season sale, or regular customer access to permanent discounts.
For example in our store, we permanently offer 10-15% discount to new customers, which can be a great saving if you buy a product that has an existing discount

Buying CBD oil in Amazon
Amazon’s terms and policies do not allow for products containing cannabidiol to be sold in their platform. Yet many egregious Amazon sellers advertise their products on Amazon as CBD products.
Often these products are advertised as hemp oil and consumers do think they are buying CBD oil. Although CBD oil comes from the hemp plant too, hemp seeds or hemp oil come from the stems or seeds where there is hardly any or no cannabidiol at all. So it’ll be money thrown out of the window.
Avoid Amazon if you are looking for real CBD oil.
High street herbal or pharma shops
One alternative is to buy CBD in the high street. Shops like Boots or Holland and Barret do sell CBD these days. It is practical as you can just walk in if you happen to be walking around and fetch a couple of brands to try.
This can be a good way to try CBD if you are not keen on buying online. However, we have yet got to see one of the top world brands stocked in one of these high street shops. We have not tried their CBD brands at all so we cannot guarantee the quality and authenticity will be acceptable.
What to look out for when looking to buy CBD ?
The main thing to look out for purity. If you are buying CBD oil, make sure your chosen brand does not contain additives, allergens or other mixed substances typical or a herbal store. According to statistics, nearly 70% of all CBD products are mislabelled.
This study found that 42.85% of tested CBD products were over-labelled (contained less CBD than claimed), while 26.19% were under-labelled (contained more CBD than claimed).

Make sure you observe the amount of CBD when comparing prices and brand. For example 10 ml of CBD with 20%
Some big brands are now starting to commercialise CBD with artificial flavourings. Although this is not necessarily a bad thing, we always advise to keep it natural, and if possible stick to one of the three following CBD types: full spectrum, broad spectrum or isolate.
Avoid plastic containers ast glass tends to preserve better and longer the unique properties of CBD oil.
Bottom line
You can easily buy CBD products in the UK these days, and yes it is perfectly legal. Whether you’d rather go through traditional consumer routes and buy it in the high street or prefer to buy it online it is entirely up to you.
Wherever you decide to buy you should always consider consider how much THC your chosen CBD product contains. The maximum percentage authorised by law and as recommended by experts is 0.3%. This only applies if you choose to take full spectrum CBD oil
Just make sure you follow guidelines in terms of intake and that you only increase the dose gradually to test how your body react to it, as everyone’s cannabinoid system is different.
The fact of the matter is CBD is something that most people who try get excited about every day as it does only take often a couple of days or three to experience great enhancements or uplifting in mood, physical well-being, alertenesss or other great wellness benefits (link here)
